SEKOLAH
HARAPAN
Breaking the Chain of Violence
One tangible way SAH contributes to addressing the issues in the community is by providing quality and affordable, or even free, education for children. Since its establishment in 2019, Sekolah Harapan (School of Hope) has been conducting Early Childhood Education (PAUD) activities. Sekolah Harapan offers education for Playgroup and Kindergarten levels. Our vision is to create a child-friendly environment free from violence. Our main mission is to provide quality and adequate education as a foundation to protect children from violence and to provide guidance to parents.

The educational focus at Sekolah Harapan includes self-identity awareness, positive self-concept, life skills based on rights and non-violence, and self-awareness for children. Our hope is that when children are aware of their personal boundaries, they can protect themselves and their surroundings from violence. At Sekolah Harapan, we believe that education is a long-term investment to improve the quality of life for children from underprivileged families and enable them to become agents in breaking the chain of violence.

Learning Module
Evaluation results from the educational activities at Sekolah Harapan during the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic years have identified four main issues that require attention in the Tanah Merah community. These issues are also influenced by several factors summarized in the table below

Based on these identified issues, the learning objectives and achievement indicators are designed to address these problems. The objectives and their respective achievement indicators are presented in the table below:

Foster Parents & Big Day Commemoration

Our Hope
1. Empowering Local Educators
The learning modules are designed to be simple and easily implemented by anyone, with the hope that community members can become local educators and actively contribute to advancing education in the community.
2. Producing Facilitators & Social Educators
Workshops and training sessions aim to enhance the capacity of community members, enabling them to share their knowledge and skills with others.
3. School as a Research and Development Center for Educational Methods
Simple research and development efforts in the school regarding the learning and education process of children can maximize the school's role as a laboratory and knowledge center for early childhood, teenage, and parental education.
